On Saturday, October 31, the last ZooBoo of the year and a celebration for the polar bears at Seneca Park Zoo will make your Halloween merry, not scary!
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., participate in the annual fundraising event and enjoy a puzzle hunt through the Zoo, great photo opportunities with costumed characters and educational activities. Creatively costumed visitors who share their #ZooBooSPZ photos on social will have a chance to win a ZooShop gift certificate, and 50 cents of every event ticket sold will benefit Health In Harmony, a nonprofit organization working to save orangutans from extinction in Borneo.
From 11 a.m to 1 p.m. on Saturday, celebrate polar bears Aurora and Zero and learn how you can help #saveourseaice through biofacts, touch tables, keeper chats, and an enrichment demonstration at 12 p.m.
After all the trick-or-treating fun, join us at the Zoo from 1 to 3 p.m. this Sunday, November 1, to say farewell to Mexican gray wolves Chico, Diego and Durango as preparations are made to send them to the Wolf Conservation Center (WCC) in South Salem, New York. Learn about wolf conservation, listen to a zoo keeper talk and enjoy other wolf activities as you celebrate the pack and say goodbye.
Need birthday party ideas for your little animal lover? Check out our birthday party packages and customizable options. You’ll be supporting conservation when you book: we make a donation to Polar Bears International for each party reserved.
And as November approaches, don’t forget: the Zoo’s hours and rates change for the season on Sunday!
