Open daily 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Grounds close at 4 p.m.
There is one male and one female here at the Zoo. The male, born in 2010, came to the Zoo in 2011, while the female, born in 2008, arrived in 2013.
Listed as Near Threatened; CITES: Appendix I by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Threats to this animal are: trapping for food and for their gizzard stone which is used in jewelry and for the illegal pet trade. This bird's available nesting habitat of offshore islands is decreasing due to plantation logging, construction activity and pollution by nearby industries.
