Join the Seneca Park Zoo Society on Sunday, September 25, for a day at the Zoo connecting art to animals and nature. The Zoo is partnering with DNO Art Collective, Rowe Photo and Video, and Tamron Camera Lenses to present demonstrations and educational opportunities for budding artists and Zoo fans.
Local artists will be on grounds leading interactive demonstrations of their craft, so you can learn how to sketch the elephants and photograph the rhino in the perfect light. Docents will also be on grounds educating guests about the animals and their ecosystems. Share your work with others and get a behind-the-scenes look at how some of Rochester’s most innovative artwork gets made.
Learn how to draw orangutans, spider monkeys, owls, tigers, wolves, penguins, sea lions, lions, baboons, elephants, and more. Test cameras and lenses from Rowe Photo and Tamron Camera Lenses and learn how to photograph your favorite animals from the experts.
Docents and education staff will be on grounds to teach guests about the animals they learn to draw and photograph. Activities are free with regular Zoo admission.
