Elephant Day

Learn about the threats facing elephants due to human impact, including the complexities of the ivory trade, poaching, and human encroachment. Discover how zoos and conservation care are working to save these animals from extinction with programs such as the Species Survival Program, and our dedication to conservation partners like the International Elephant Foundation. Guests will come away with a better understanding of the importance of these megaherbivores, and what they can do to help save elephants from extinction.

Guests will also get updates on the new snow leopard habitat opening at Seneca Park Zoo next summer!
