Group Overnight

We want to create a memorable experience your group won't forget? Spend the night at the Zoo! Bring your Scouting group, 4-H group, Youth group or class for your own personal overnight experience at the Zoo!

Expect to arrive at the Zoo by 5:30 p.m. The evening is filled with games, activities, an Amazing Animal Presentation, and a nocturnal tour of the Zoo. We also provide a pizza party dinner and close with a nighttime snack. In the morning, we tour the Zoo, getting to see what happens every day before the Zoo even opens! We conclude at 9 a.m.

How many people do I have to have and where do you sleep?

All programs require a minimum of 15 people or $385 cost minimum to hold the event. If you are a group size or 15-35 people, you will sleep in the Z.O.T Zone. If you are a group size of 35-100 people you will sleep in the Rocky Coast building where you can view the polar bears and sea lions. If you are a small group and would like to upgrade to the Rocky Coast building, you can either find another group to share the event with you or pay $900 minimum cost for the Rocky Coast building.

What do I bring?

Participants should bring with them a sleeping bag, pillow, flashlight and toiletries. It is also important to dress for the weather, as we will be outside for the tours. Most groups also bring their own breakfast, as we do not provide this; remember to bring any paper supplies you might need. Groups are also welcome to bring any additional snacks they might like.

Additional Badge Work for Scout Groups

We also provide the opportunity for Scout groups to complete activities towards earning a badge, Try-It, Achievement, or Elective. These are an additional $3 per Scout. Girl Scouts will receive the actual badge. Only ONE badge can be earned during our program.

Sharing Your Program

We strongly encourage small groups to share their overnight experience with another group. We have limited space and availability, which cannot keep up with the demand for our program. If your group is smaller than 15 people (children and adults), you are required to share with another group we will pair you with and pay the minimum $385 cost.
