What could be more fun than trick-or-treating? Trick-or-treating at the Zoo, of course! Each year hundreds of families dress in their Halloween best and enjoy the autumn splendor of the Zoo. With trick-or-treat stations, costumed characters and special treats for the animals, ZooBoo is an experience your family won't soon forget. Follow the fun on social at #ZooBooSPZ
NEW THIS YEAR!
Trick-or-treaters will use their ZooBoo guide to help them navigate through the Zoo in search of puzzle pieces. Trick-or-treating at the Zoo is a fun, educational and inspirational experience for all ages. Stop by the ZooShop to receive a small goodie bag filled with palm oil-free treats—your End Prize for stopping at all 10 trick-or-treat stations.
Our animals will be in on the fun, too, enjoying pumpkin treats throughout the day: otters at 11 a.m., polar bears at noon and elephants at 1 p.m.
Be sure to bring your camera for the fantastic photo ops in the Scarecrow Village, located at the Event Tent, and let kids explore our Creepy Crawly Zoo in the ECO Center.
Please note: Trick-or-treat stations open at 9:30 a.m. for members and 10 a.m. for non-members; the last trick-or-treating ticket will be sold at 3 p.m. Stations close at 3:30 p.m.
SPZ members: $8.50 for trick-or-treaters; general admission for members is always free.
Members can purchase discount tickets in advance at the Front Gate until 4 p.m. on Friday, October 9!
Non-members: $8.50 for trick-or-treaters plus general admission
In support of orangutans in their natural range, 50 cents from the sale of every ZooBoo trick-or-treating ticket
will be donated to Health in Harmony.
EVENT IS HELD RAIN OR SHINE and ticket sales are non-refundable and non-transferable.
The Zoo needs volunteers to help make this fundraising event a success!
