The Seneca Park Zoo strives to be accessible to all visitors.


As a courtesy for visitors who need assistance getting from one location to another, staff will provide transportation via golf cart back and forth between any location within the Zoo and the Zoo’s Front Gate. This service is provided regularly from April 1 through October 31. From November 1 through March 31, there may be a slight delay due to inclement weather, ice or snow. Visitors can request this service upon arrival at the Zoo’s Front Gate, by speaking with any staff member while on Zoo grounds or by calling (585) 295-7388 or (585) 336-7200 during their Zoo visit. In addition to the visitor who needs assistance, the golf cart driver can accommodate a maximum of four other visitors or two to three other visitors with a wheelchair or stroller. This service is a mode of transportation for anyone needing assistance getting from one location to another. However, it is not a tour. For information about tours, click here.


Handicap spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis in the parking lot located closest to the Front Gate.


The Zoo Picture Map is an easy path to fun! It will help you to find and choose quiet or active places for a rewarding visit for you, your family or group. If you don’t care where you’re going, any road will do. Contact a Zoo staff member for information about designated, out-of-the-way areas in the Zoo made available to visitors who may need to take a break with their child or member of their group.


Service animals are welcome. Guests with service animals must notify staff at the Front Gate before entering the Zoo.


Wheelchairs are available at our ZooShop, free of charge. Simply leave your car key and/or driver's license behind until the wheelchair is returned to us.
