AZA Programs

The Seneca Park Zoo is an accredited member of the Association of Zoos & Aquariums, which helps the Zoo increase its eligibility for grants, promotes professional recognition from top zoological parks and aquariums throughout the United States and much more. By being a member, the Zoo has access to critical AZA programs and services, including the Species Survival Plan (SSP). It also promotes trust to the community, by signifying excellence and commitment to animal care, conservation and education.

Conservation Partnerships: Coordinating regional conservation activities.

Species Survival Plan: Managing the breeding of species to maintain healthy populations.

Taxon Advisory Group: Examining the conservation needs of groups of species.
