Learn all about what animals eat, how they find those favorite foods and how biodiversity and conservation help to maintain balance in the food chain. Campers will spend the week playing games, making crafts and even preparing food for some of the animals at the Zoo. They’ll also meet several animal ambassadors in the classroom to learn about adaptations that help these animals to find the food they need to stay strong and healthy!
Meet a few friendly meat eaters and learn what it takes to be a hunter.
Meet a few exciting herbivores, and learn how they find their food in some of the most extreme places.
Do you like bugs on your pizza? No way! But there are a few animals out there that think a meal of insects would be delicious.
Meet a few animals that act as nature’s recyclers; they might even teach us a thing or two about recycling!
These animals eat both meat and plants, just like many people do.
