The Seneca Park Zoo's Butterfly Beltway Project provides a unique opportunity for daycare facilities and schools to make a lasting connection to the Zoo. A first-year visit includes the planting of a garden of plants specific to the native species of butterflies, a sign to proudly state your participation in this important conservation effort, a butterfly story, an engaging and interactive education discussion of the butterfly life cycle and the Monarch migration and a Monarch release. Consequent visits include a garden check-up, educational component and annual release.
