Join the Seneca Park Zoo Society for a day at the Zoo connecting art to animals and nature. Art professionals will offer an engaged learning environment for visitors of all ages.
Art stations will be set up throughout the Zoo to encourage guests to draw or photograph a variety of species while engaging with docents, staff, and artists about the animals and their habitats.
Professional photographer Zach Kobrinsky will be giving two tutorial talks about photography at the Nature Connection stage, providing guests with tips on photographing nature and animals. Following each presentation, Zach will lead guests on a walking photography “tour”.
Zach Kobrinsky is a freelance photographer, film maker, and multimedia journalist based in Brooklyn, New York. He has worked for National Geographic magazine, the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of Natural History, and others.
Local artist Matt Roberts will be giving two tutorial talks at the Nature Connection stage, providing guests with beginner tips on how to draw the animals at the Zoo. Following each presentation, Matt will lead guests on a walking photography “tour”.
Matt Roberts graduated from RIT with a degree in Illustration and is involved with Rochester’s art scene as much as time allows. Currently, Matt volunteers for 1975 gallery and helps run the Dudes Night Out art collective.
