SUMMARY:Amphibians & Reptiles Awareness Weekend
DESCRIPTION:Do you have a passion for some of the scaly and slippery species? This is the weekend for you! Amphibians & Reptiles Weekend is dedicated to the lizards\, snakes\, frogs\, and other animals of those species in our care here at the Zoo. While they are not the biggest or fluffiest – we love them just the same and they play just as crucial a part in their ecosystems as many of the bigger mammals that are typically more thought of.  \nThis weekend we will be raising money for two great conservation organizations: Project Golden Frog and Turtle Survival Alliance! We encourage our supporters to check out their stuff and the amazing work they do and donate to our Facebook or onsite fundraiser this weekend that will go to support them. For every $5 donated you will be automatically entered to win a turtle or snake-made painting OR a meet-and-greet with one of the Burmese pythons in our care for a feeding!  \nLearn about some of the similarities and differences between amphibians an reptiles on our blog here. \nIs it a frog or a toad? Check out this blog from one of our keepers for some basic characteristics to help you out. \n \n Support Conservation Efforts\n \nSchedule of Events:\n Thursday\n Friday\n Saturday\n Sunday\n Thursday \n9:30 a.m. – *Members Only* Animal Meet & Greet \n10:30 a.m. – Penguin Enrichment & Keeper Chat  \n10:30 a.m.  – Red Panda Experience  \n11:15 a.m. – Polar Bear Enrichment  \n12:00 p.m. – Reptiles of the Savanna Keeper Chat ** \n1:30 p.m. – Burmese Python Feeding (Creatures From the River’s Edge building) ** \n3:00 p.m. – Penguin Enrichment & Keeper Chat \n3:30 p.m. – Baboon Enrichment  \n** – indicates Amphibian & Reptile Awareness focused program (others are normal summer programming schedule) \n Friday \n9:30 a.m. – *Members Only* Animal Meet & Greet \n10:30 a.m. – Vet Chat in the Animal Hospital (follow path past red panda to the right)** \n10:30 a.m. – Penguin Feed & Keeper Chat  \n11:00 a.m.  –Frog Feeding (CRE)** \n11:15 a.m.  – Snow Leopard Experience \n12:00 p.m. – Sea Lion Enrichment \n1:30 p.m. – Cichlid Keeper Chat (Animals of the Savanna building) \n3:00 p.m. – Penguin Experience & Keeper Chat \n3:30 p.m. – Sea Lion Enrichment  \n** – indicates Amphibian & Reptile Awareness focused program (others are normal summer programming schedule) \n Saturday \n9:30 a.m. – *Members Only* Animal Meet & Greet \n10:30 a.m. – Reptile Keeper Chat (CRE building)**  \n10:30 a.m. – Penguin Feed & Keeper Chat  \n11:00 a.m.  – Red-Eared Slider Feed**  \n11:15 a.m.  – Sea Lion Experience  \n12:00 p.m. – Elephant Experience \n1:00 p.m. – Panamanian Golden Frog Keeper Chat (CRE building)** \n1:30 p.m. – White Rhino Experience  \n3:00 p.m. – Penguin Experience & Keeper Chat \n3:30 p.m. – Wolf Keeper Chat \n** – indicates Amphibian & Reptile Awareness focused program (others are normal summer programming schedule) \n Sunday \n9:30 a.m. – *Members Only* Animal Meet & Greet \n10:30 a.m. – Red Panda Enrichment \n10:30 a.m. – Penguin Feed & Keeper Chat  \n11:00 a.m.  – Reptile Chat (CRE building)** \n11:15 a.m.  – Polar Bear Experience  \n12:00 p.m. – Red-Tailed Hawk Feed & Keeper Chat \n1:30 p.m. – Sandhill Crane Conservation Keeper Chat \n2:30 p.m. – Burmese Python Keeper Chat**  \n3:00 p.m. – Penguin Experience & Keeper Chat \n3:30 p.m. – River Otter Enrichment \n** – indicates Genesee Trail Awareness focused program (others are normal summer programming schedule) \nThank you to our Presenting Sponsor for Conservation Days:
