This year in honor of Labor Day Weekend\, we are celebrating all the labor that goes into keeping the Zoo running!  \nIn addition to our normal Summer Programming animal schedule\, this weekend will also feature tabling with various activities & learning opportunities including enrichment making stations\, equipment & tools used around the Zoo\, a mini ‘Zoo Olympics’ activity\, tours in our commissary and elephant barn\, and a look back at all the conservation organizations our community helped us raise money for this past season – and the opportunity to chip in to your favorite causes!  \nOnsite we will be accepting donations to any of the previous conservation organizations we have fundraised for throughout the summer\, while online we will be raising money specifically for our own animal enrichment fund to support the enrichment of the animals in our care! DESCRIPTION:Do you have a passion for some of the scaly and slippery species? This is the weekend for you! Amphibians & Reptiles Weekend is dedicated to the lizards\, snakes\, frogs\, and other animals of those species in our care here at the Zoo. While they are not the biggest or fluffiest – we love them just the same and they play just as crucial a part in their ecosystems as many of the bigger mammals that are typically more thought of.  \nThis weekend we will be raising money for two great conservation organizations: Project Golden Frog and Turtle Survival Alliance! We encourage our supporters to check out their stuff and the amazing work they do and donate to our Facebook or onsite fundraiser this weekend that will go to support them. DESCRIPTION:** ZooBrew is BACK for the full season – tickets on sale now!** \nSpend an evening outdoors at the Zoo with a drink in hand at ZooBrew! Enjoy great live music\, delicious food and drink\, and animal experiences at this after-hours event exclusively for adults 21+. \n			\n						Tickets Available at the Gate\n					 \nZooBrew typically supports elephant conservation with a portion of each ticket sold. However\, this year we are making this first kick-off event a special version to support rhino conservation in honor of ‘Cinco de Rhino!’ ZooBrews have raised nearly $60\,000 for elephant conservation and we want to share a little of that support with rhinos this year. Help us reach our goal! \nJoin us at the only event in town where you can help save elephants rhinos from extinction just by attending! \n**Limited number of tickets available. Advance ticket sales end at 2 p.m. the day of ZooBrew or when sold out. Tickets are date specific and non-refundable. All sales are final. Should a ticket holder be unable to attend the event\, the purchase will be considered a donation. \nTickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door (if available)\, and include event admission\, live music\, and animal experiences. Beer\, wine\, and food will be available for purchase. In this camp\, we will investigate the defenses of several different types of animals and how they use those defenses to survive. Our Frequently Asked Questions page is a great resource for many of the questions you may have. \n  \nFor ages 5 through 9 \n  \nFull-day: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. \nHalf-day: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. \n   \nCOST \nMembers: $155 for half-day; $255 for full-day \nNon-members: $175 for half-day; $280 for full-day \n THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST – THIS CAMP IS CURRENTLY SOLD OUT \nParticipants must register for the full week of camp; no single day options are available. Registration is non-refundable. \nAfter care is available! The ZooCamp day ends at 4pm\, but you can choose to extend your child’s day at the Zoo with after care until 5pm. The fee is $25 for the week.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for Polar Bear Weekend 2023 as we will be celebrating these amazing animals and raise awareness of the shrinking habitat they live in on Saturday\, February 25 and Sunday\, February 26 (International Polar Bear Day falls on Monday\, February 27 this year) both virtually and live at the Zoo. This event is free with Zoo admission. Meet us inside Rocky Coasts Gallery to learn about Anoki’s daily care and the Zoo’s partnership with Polar Bears International (PBI) and find out what you can do to help save polar bears and the Arctic sea ice they depend on. There will be games/activities\, information materials and Anoki’s family tree gallery! \nThe Zoo is also partnering once again with the Rochester Americans to help create awareness for polar bears and the sea ice they depend on as part of Defend the Ice Night! Join us as the Amerks host the Laval Rockets at 7:05 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena.
