How can I find out if my gift recipients already have a membership?

Will the membership cards be delivered to me or to the gift recipients?

You will choose whether the membership materials sent to you or directly to your gift recipients.

How do I purchase a gift of membership online?

On our membership webpage, select the level of membership you wish to purchase. Under “Registration”, click the “this is a gift” box.

You will first enter the recipient’s information and choose where you’d like the member cards delivered. Please enter the recipient’s complete mailing address, so that they will receive their ZooNooz newsletters starting in 2021 and their record will be accurate.

For 2020 holiday sales: To have the reusable water bottle mailed with the members cards for a shipping cost of $5.00, click the box next to “Gift Givers: Mail 2020 Holiday Gift with cards $5 fee”

Otherwise, a voucher for the water bottle that can be redeemed at the Zoo will be included with the member card package.

After you have added the membership to the cart, you will enter your personal information for billing on the following page.

How do I purchase a gift of membership when I’m at the Zoo?

Come to the Front Gate during regular Zoo hours. Bring the contact information for both the buyer and the recipient. You will be given a yellow carbon copy of the membership receipt and are welcome to take a “Gift of the Zoo” card and the reusable water bottle to present while the membership cards are being processed.

How do I purchase a gift of membership by phone?

Please call our Membership Office at 585.336.7212 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

You will need to know the names and addresses of your intended recipients.

What will the expiration date for a gift of membership RENEWAL?

A year will be added to their current active membership. If you are unsure about your gift recipient’s membership status or level, please call the Member Office at 585.336.7212

What will the expiration date be for a NEW membership?

New gift memberships purchased November 1 – December 31, 2020 will be valid through December 31, 2021.

Can I request that the membership start after December 31?

No. Memberships are active immediately upon purchase.

What if I don’t know the name of both adults on the membership?

Although it is preferred to have all information when you purchase the membership, the recipient may contact the Member Office after the membership has been issued to add a second named adult.

The second adult must be named on the membership in order for that adult to use the membership.

Please note: All sales are final and membership dues are nonrefundable once a purchase has been made. It typically takes 7 to 10 business days from date of purchase for cards to arrive in the mail. If you are unsure about the status of a membership, please call the Member Office at 585.336.7212. We do not hold packages to be sent at a later date or picked up at the Zoo.
