Celebrate the earth by learning to live sustainably and by speaking with organizations that strive to do so every day.

Your Zoo helps conserve wildlife and wild places. Find out how by visiting our docent stations and enjoying our Animal Experiences. Collect a stamp at all five docent stations and receive a free sapling to take home (limited to 1,000), courtesy of Diamond Packaging.

When saplings run out, guests can enter to win a Butterfly Beltway garden!

River Otters and Lake Sturgeon

Find out how the Zoo assists in the local conservation of these species, and how you can be a part of Genesee River conservation.

  • Otter Experience: 10:30 a.m.

Bornean Orangutans

Discover the amazing changes that Health in Harmony has made in orangutan and Bornean Rainforest conservation.

  • Orangutan Experience: 11:30 a.m.

White Rhino

Learn how the International Rhino Foundation helps protect Rhino species.

  • Rhino Experience: 1:30 p.m.

African Penguins

See how the Zoo works to conserve penguins through breeding and support of SANCCOB, the Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds.

African Elephants

Visit our elephants and discover how our support of the International Elephant Foundation helps protect elephants in their natural range.
