Trek in the Twilight is just like our popular Bunk with Beasts program but without the overnight! We still provide dinner, a guided Zoo tour, and an animal presentation, but participants get to go home and sleep in their own beds at the end of the night.
Participants must arrive at the Zoo by 5:45 p.m. We’ll walk in and fuel up with some dinner. The evening is filled with activities, an animal presentation, and a guided tour of the Zoo. We conclude at 9:30 p.m. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate late arrivals or early dismissals, so participants need to be available for the program duration from 5:45 to 9:30 p.m. Trek in the Twilight programs are offered September – May. Scout groups are provided with pizza and drinks for dinner, as well as several Zoo Educators to guide your twilight trek. Guests should bring a flashlight to navigate around the Zoo in the dark. It is also important to dress for the weather, as we will be outside for the tour.
Trek in the Twilight group sizes and activities have been adjusted according to current COVID-19 safety protocols. If regulations change, participants will be notified of any changes to their program. For more information, including our cancellation policy, please check out our FAQs for education programs at the Zoo.
