Offsite Programs

We do some of our best work out in the community. Through public clean-up efforts, nature hikes, and education, we work to connect people with nature.

Current Programs

Zoo Mobile

The ZooMobile visits schools, daycare centers, preschools, nursing homes, adult day facilities, libraries, colleges, and many other organizations, as well as participates in community events within Rochester and the surrounding areas.

Hikes & Activites

We have programs like nature hikes and nature journaling that are focused on exploring and learning about all the fascinating parks and wild spaces located around upstate New York.

Remediation and Park Cleanups

Yearly, we remove more than 2000 pounds of trash from our area parks, green spaces, and waterways with help from volunteers and the City of Rochester, as well as over 500 pounds of water chestnut from our waterways with help from the DEC and PRISM. This is a great way to gather a group of friends and have a fun day outside while also helping the planet.

Every day is a great day to visit the Zoo. Experience life on the wild side, enjoy up-close animal interactions and support global conservation efforts—right here at the Zoo. Reserve your tickets now for quick and easy entry, and enjoy more time connecting with wildlife.
