Join us onÂ
Saturday, October 15 & Sunday October 16 for Penguin Weekend here at the Zoo! Seneca Park Zoo participates in the Association of Zoos and Aquariums’ (AZA) SAFE Program for the endangered African penguin. SAFE, or Saving Animals from Extinction, seeks to save the most vulnerable wildlife species for future generations. Learn about the Zoo’s colony of African penguins and hear directly from keeper staff about what it’s like to care for them.
Learn about the threats African penguins face in nature, such as oil spills and over-fishing, and find out how you can help protect them by practicing responsible consumerism and supporting the Zoo’s longtime conservation partner,Â
SANCCOB, a nonprofit organization working to save seabirds.
Donate to our Facebook Fundraiser to support penguin conservation that we will have up and running as this event gets closer.
This event is FREE with Zoo admission.
