Elephant Encounter Tour

Elephant Encounters are now being offered at the Seneca Park Zoo! During this experience you will tour our barn while meeting our African Elephants and learning about each of their personalities from a member of the animal care team! Encounters take place at the elephant barn in A Step into Africa area and provide guests with an unforgettable, up-close experience with our elephant friends. This tour includes unique photo opportunities and keeper Q&A.

Tickets: $100 per person

When?

Elephant Encounter tours are offered Sundays only at 2:45 p.m. April – October and 1:45 p.m. November – March. Maximum group size is 8 persons.

For Whom?

Elephant Encounter tours are open to guests ages 8+. Please wear close-toed, non-slip shoes. 

How Much?

Tickets are $100 per person, include a $25 donation for species’ survival, and can be purchased here. Tickets are limited. Admission ticket to the Zoo (or Zoo membership) also required for entry.

Ticket sales are online only and can be purchased through the webstore here.

The tour starts at the entrance of the elephant barn building. Guests should aim to get there about 15 minutes before the tour is to start.

Each person needs to have their own ticket and must be 8+ years of age.

No, service animals are not allowed behind the scenes due to close proximity to the zoo animals.

Refunds may be issued at the discretion of the ticket team.  

It’s important that you arrive promptly for your tour time. If you miss it, and the tour happens, the ticket will be non-refundable and non-transferable.

Yes, but the aide would also require a ticket of their own.

Yes, in addition to the Savanna Safari Tour ticket, guests must purchase a regular admission ticket (or use their Zoo membership) to enter the Zoo.
