In 2025, Spooktacular took over with two weekends of spooky fun. We had Pumpkin Safari and Buggie Boogie Weekend. Guests came in costume, explored the zoo, and enjoyed a family-friendly Halloween experience!

The Buggie Boogie Band brought high energy songs and dance breaks the whole family loved. The fun continued with the Wild Skills Showdown, where kids showed off their loudest roars and highest jumps! Plus, attendees got to meet some of the zoo’s creepiest, crawliest critters up close!

Dance, wiggle, and sing along with the Buggie Boogie Band for a wild family jam.

Step into the spotlight and show off your best animal moves, from the loudest lion roar to the highest frog jump. Winners will take home fun prizes to celebrate their wild skills.
Rocky Coast Gallery, 5:30 – 7:30 PM
Get up close with our animal ambassadors that creep, crawl, have many legs, or none at all!
Visitors watched pumpkin carving demonstrations, tested their aim with our pumpkin toss, and saw just how much our animal friends love pumpkin-themed enrichment. It was a perfect mix of spooky fun and wild excitement for the whole family!

Watch expert carver Nick Stoller transform pumpkins into spooky masterpieces.
CLC, Lawn
Take your best shot at the Pumpkin Toss! Land a pumpkin in the cornhole and claim a prize. $2 donation to play!
Entrance of Zoo, 5:00 – 6:30 PM
Look up! And meet the amazing Stilt Walkers from ROC City Circus as they welcome you to Spooktacular in festive flair!
Center for Biodiversity, 6:30 and 7:15 PM.
Shows run approximately 20 minutes.

Step into the Craft Cave to create your own colorful, zoo-themed Halloween crafts to take home.

Transform into your favorite spooky animal with fun face paint and temporary tattoos. $5 donation per child for face painting!

Explore real animal bones up close with our naturalists and see if you can guess which creature they came from.
