Frontline Heroes Day

Check out responder vehicles up close and learn more about how these hometown heroes support our city!

October 25 | 10AM - 3PM

See the lights, hear the sirens, and meet real-life heroes! Frontline Heroes Day is your chance to connect with the teams who work tirelessly to keep our community safe. Meet heroes from RPD, RFD, AMR, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, and the National Guard, participate in a scavenger hunt for a chance to win prizes, and explore emergency vehicles stationed throughout the Zoo. From fire trucks and ambulances to police cars, a spooky Halloween-themed RPD bus, and a vintage 1953 Sheriff’s car, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

Participating Organizations

From emergency response to community programs, the Rochester Police Department works every day to protect residents. Stop by, meet the officers, get an up-close look at a patrol vehicle, and to learn more about the work they do in our city.

Firefighters do so much more than just fighting fires! They respond to car crashes, medical calls, and hazardous situations all across the city. Get a close-up look at one of their fire trucks, explore their tools, and learn how they keep our community safe every single day.

Learn to save a life with the American Heart Association! Dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke, the American Heart Association works to improve heart health through education, advocacy, and research. During Frontline Heroes Day, you can stop by their booth for a hands-on CPR demonstration.
