Our Savanna Safari tour allows guests to get up close and personal with our amazing animals of the African Savanna, including White Rhino, Zebra and Giraffe.  Your ticket will take you behind-the-scenes in our Animals of the Savanna habitat to learn how these remarkable residents of the Zoo are enriched and cared for. This tour includes unique photo opportunities and keeper Q&A.

When?

Savanna Safari tours are offered Tuesdays only at 12:30 p.m. Maximum group size is 8 persons.

For Whom?

Savanna Safari Tours are open to guests ages 8+. Tours require guests be able to walk up a flight of stairs so we cannot accommodate wheel chairs.

How Much?

Tickets are $100 per person, include a $25 donation for species’ survival, and can be purchased here. Tickets are limited. Admission ticket to the Zoo (or Zoo membership) also required for entry.

The tour starts at the entrance of the Animals of the Savanna building near the small creatures tree.

Each person needs to have their own ticket and must be 8+ years of age.

No, service animals are not allowed behind the scenes due to close proximity to the zoo animals.

Refunds may be issued at the discretion of the ticket team.  

It’s important that you arrive promptly for your tour time. If you miss it, and the tour happens, the ticket will be non-refundable and non-transferable.

Yes, but the aide would also require a ticket of their own.
